A resident in northern New Jersey got a scare after waking up and finding a black bear in the kitchen.
Vernon police say the bear broke a screen and climbed through a window. Its paw turned on the sink faucet and flooded the counter top.

Police say the bear tore through the kitchen cabinets and left once the homeowner began screaming.
