The kid is only 6 years old....but I would like to know "WHEN ARE THE EDUCATORS GOING TO GROW UP" ? Why couldn't the teacher, TEACH him that it isn't a nice thing to do, if he does it again, THEN PUNISHMENT

A Colorado first-grader was suspended from school after he aimed his fingers at a classmate in the shape of the gun and said: "You're dead."
Elijah Thurston, who is just 6-years-old, was banned from attending Stratton Meadows Elementary School in Colorado Springs for one day after Monday's incident,
according to KRDO.
Teachers said he was disciplined for "making threats against peers."
His dad Austin Thurston, however, said his son was "just playing."
  And he dubbed the punishment as "a little extreme" and asked whether not allowing him out during recess may have been a better alternative

Teachers reportedly said 6-year-old Elijah Thurston was disciplined for 'making threats against peers' after he pointed his fingers like a gun and said 'You're dead' to a classmate.
