Trump Meets With Families Of Americans Killed By Illegals As Obama To Meet With Inmates
Meanwhile, as Trump took time out of his day to sit down with real victims, President Barack Hussein Obama announced plans to visit a federal prison in Oklahoma next Thursday to bitch about “the unfairness” of the criminal justice system, commute the sentences of 22 federal drug offenders, speak directly with inmates and participate in a Vice documentary (H/T The Hill).
According to The Washington Examiner, “Of the more than 2,200 people who received federal sentences for drug possession in fiscal year 2014, almost three-quarters of them were illegal immigrants.”
Obama is therefore ostensibly meeting primarily with illegals. Furthermore, judging by the DEA’s trafficking guidelines, it appears that the only druggies who wind up in federal prison are those in possession of rather copious amounts of narcotics.
And yet, in the mind of President Obama, these men and women apparently are the real victims.
Like “Winfield,” a commenter at The Hill, wrote, President Obama really should “[s]top making excuses for everything wrong in the world and ridiculing those things that are right.”
But let us just assume that perhaps the federal justice system truly is unfair to drug offenders. The timing of this stunt still seems awfully inappropriate, if not outright cruel, nevertheless.
And oh, just so you know, Obama will be the first sitting president to ever visit a federal prison.
