Obama Is Releasing Gitmo Prisoner Who Vowed To ‘Kill As Many Americans As He Could’ When Released  By  |

Yet Another Prisoner Swap

Yet another Islamic extremist has been transferred out of Guantanamo Bay in an effort for the Obama administration to deliver on their campaign promise to close the detention center that was designed to house enemy combatants caught on the battlefield.
Americans are still frustrated at the president’s illegal prisoner swap that involved five high-ranking Taliban generals in exchange for one U.S. prisoner of war who was suspected of desertion. Each of the ‘Taliban Five’ were deemed, by the Obama administration itself, to be too dangerous to transfer, and yet were transferred anyway. They are believed to have re-continued their efforts against American forces.
Mohammad al Rahman al Shumrani is yet another detainee that has been transfered from Guantanamo Bay. According to an assessment obtained by the New York Times, al Shumrani was believed to be an extremist recruiter for al-Qaeda, and possibly a former body guard for Osama Bin Laden.
The assessment suggested that a strong possibility existed that al Shumrani would rejoin the terrorist network unless he was completely rehabilitated and closely monitored.
“If released without rehabilitation, close supervision, and means to successfully reintegrate into his society as a law-abiding citizen, it is assessed detainee would immediately seek out prior associates and reengage in hostilities and extremist support activities at home and abroad.”
So far, he is not sounding like a moderate Muslim, and the assessment continues to show why:
“Since transfer to JTF-GTMO, detainee has threatened the guard staff, has preached extremist ideology to other detainees, and has indicated his intent to kill Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan if released.”
In other words, Obama has just released a man from Guantanamo Bay, who has preached extremist ideology, and who has pledged to continue to kill Americans if he is released. Other than to fulfill a campaign promise to close down the detention facility and inexplicable optimism that al Shumrani will be rehabilitated, what possible reason could the president have for unleashing a person like that on the world?
