   Clergy, lawmakers and civic leaders joined together Monday morning to discuss recent examples of police brutality against minorities.

   The Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus, Philadelphia Black Clergy and the Civic Guardian League held a news conference at the Prince of Peace Baptist Church at 1844 N. 32nd St. in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia.

   The event specifically highlighted recent events including the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri; Eric Garner in New York City and 12-year-old Tamir Rice in Cleveland, Ohio. During the conference, some of the leaders said they were frustrated with the attitude of some of the officers in their neighborhood.

   "They arrive and step outside of their vehicle with their hands on their weapon and a tone of voice that is instantly provocative," said Reverend Robert Shine, the chairman of the African American Association for Corporate Responsibility (AAACR

   Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey told NBC10 reestablishing trust between officers and minority communities is essential. Ramsey was recently appointed by President Obama to co-chair his Task Force on 21st Century policing.

   “We’ve been engaged in community policing for the last couple decades,” Commissioner Ramsey said. “But obviously some neighborhoods have been left behind. Some communities of color, communities that are greatly challenged by crime and disorder that feel that police are part of the problem  "    

Basiymah Bey of Strawberry Mansion attended the event to hear what leaders plan to do to make changes going forward. After the conference, she told NBC10 she’s not convinced anything new beyond protests and press conferences will occur however.

   “Our young men are brutally, brutally, every weekend, attacked by police in this community,” Bey said. “It’s like a quiet storm.”

            Leaders said there must be police training, education and policy changes going forward.

A small Georgia city has banned a mosque from their town because they’re racked by fear and bigotry.

By a vote of 4-1, the Kennesaw City Council rejected a permit to let an Islamic group rent retail space in a mall, even after the landlord approved the deal.

And while they cite parking and hours in their rejection, it sure seems to me they rejected it because they don’t want a mosque in their city.
At first, the mayor said they had never allowed a church to rent space in a retail space and there was no precedent. When the Marietta Daily Journal reported that that exact space was rented twice by religious groups as recently as July, Mayor Mark Mathews said it wasn’t about precedent.
A video of the vote was posted by a Jim Cooley, who appears to support rejecting the mosque. The title of his video is “NO MOSQUE IN KENNESAW GEORGIA…GOD BLESS AMERICA.”

Discussion of the permit turned nasty pretty quickly.
“I am first a Christian and then an American citizen,” resident Jo Talley said. “As a Christian I am to put no other God before my Lord, and I am also to love my neighbor. If you know me, then you know that I do my best to do those things … but I also have the right to protect myself. This project has to do with Sharia law.”
Outside city hall, an anti-Islamic protest was being held, with protesters telling passers-by that Islam was not welcome in Kennesaw.

Obama-Endorsed Plan Would Make Students ‘Honor’ Mike Brown in Absurd Ways

Just when you thought state education couldn’t possibly get any worse, the Obama administration backs a plan to teach kids in school about the innocent, unarmed, gentle giant named Michael Brown.

The Obama White House tweeted support for the following 5-step plan:

1. Ask students what they know, and what they want to know.
2. Help students make connections [to other similar cases in history].
3. Ask students to write letters.        
4. Create a classroom memorial.
5. Carry the theme for the rest of the year.

     Christopher Emdin, a liberal professor at Columbia University Teachers College, published an article at Huffington Post where he says it’s “imperative” that teachers find a way to bring the Michael Brown case into the classroom. Emdin goes on to say that Brown’s case should be connected with other similar cases in history and students should write letters to politicians and activists who are involved in the case.
    Unbelievably, Emdin is so oblivious to the evidence of the case that he goes as far as to say students should create a memorial for Michael Brown in their classrooms.
    Laughing is the only way to keep from crying..

Gottlieb told WND he is launching a national media campaign this week to head off the possibility of executive action committing the United States to the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. Also known as the U.N. “small arms treaty,” it is scheduled to go into effect Dec. 24 for those nations that have signed and ratified the document. The U.S. signed the treaty Sept. 23, 2013, but has not ratified it. China and Russia have never signed the document.
The Second Amendment Foundation’s effort is three-pronged, Gottlieb said, involving a phone-calling and ad campaign to build public awareness, a petition drive and a threat of legal action against the president should he take action to ratify the U.N. treaty without Senate approval.

(MORNING CALL) — ALLEN TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The man accused of killing his stepdaughter, Jessica Padgett, videotaped himself having sex with her corpse, Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said Friday.
He said the video confirmed what Gregory R. Graf told investigators on the day he was charged with homicide last month: that he wanted to have sex with Padgett, and that he did so after she was dead.
Morganelli said he had concluded Graf killed Padgett in order to have sex with her body.

   Three months after a Rutgers University student was mauled to death by a bear, the state's final of five scheduled bear hunts is set for this week as state wildlife officials and activists disagree over whether the hunts are needed to control the bruin population or are an inhumane practice that doesn't address public safety.

   While the overall numbers of bears in the state has decreased since the state instituted the hunt in 2010, some point to Darsh Patel's death as evidence that there is too much focus on killing the animals and not enough on educating the public about how to handle interactions with them.

   "The fact that we had a person killed despite having a hunt shows it is not working," said Jeff Tittel, director of the Sierra Club in New Jersey.

   Patel was hiking in the Apshawa Preserve with four friends when they noticed a 300-pound black bear following them. The group scattered, and Patel's friends, who were not injured, called police when they realized he was missing.

   Tittel said non-lethal methods such as aversion therapy to make bears afraid of people and teaching people how to bear-proof houses and yards are effective. He also stressed the need for warning signs: there were no signs notifying hikers that bears reside in the area of the Apshawa Preserve or lists of do's and don'ts about bear confrontations. A prominent writer for the Southern Poverty Law Center was gunned down by two black males while hiking in Oakland, reports NBC Bay Area News:

A man who was fatally shot at a park in the Oakland hills on Tuesday afternoon has been identified as David Ruenzel of Oakland, East Bay Regional Park District police said Wednesday.
. . . They said they are investigating robbery as a possible motive for the crime.
Ruenzel’s son in a statement said his dad was a loving father, grandfather and best friend. He also described Ruenzel as a brilliant writer and educator who touched the lives of many.
. . . Police said one of the suspects is described as a man who is black or possibly of mixed race and in his late 20s or early 30s with dreadlocks, a medium complexion, high cheek bones, a narrow face, a thin build and was wearing dark clothing.
Police said the other suspect is described as a black man who is 6 feet tall, weighs about 240 pounds, is clean shaven with short hair and was wearing dark clothes and a black backpack. Witnesses described the man as being out of shape and “overly friendly,” police said.     READ MORE

Here are a few faces of a few officers who were killed trying to detain their suspects over the last few weeks. They were conducting routine traffic stops and q...uestioning incidents that they were called to. But because low life scumbags didn't want a speeding ticket or to be brought in for any charges they went ahead and fatally shot or stabbed the officers, including the dog. You don't hear about the hundreds of incidents like this that happen every year. No need to, because why would the officers lives be nearly as important as a common criminal. In these photos alone left six widows and twelve children behind. I'm not sure of the dog. Social media is a joke and should be used the right way. Maybe others will share this status in honor of these heroes.

Michael Brown and Eric Garner are the latest manufactured martyrs in Obama’s theatre of class struggle. First on Obama’s list of protagonists are Cops. Law enforcement is always the target of revolutionary and counterculture movements, since law enforcement is charged with keeping the peace and peace is the mortal enemy of the Bolshevist.

So, when the president meets with community and law enforcement "leadership" to discuss the incident in Ferguson, he is engaging not in a quest for truth or for honest solutions, but rather is advancing an agenda. New guidelines allow racial profiling at border stops, airports

WASHINGTON –  New racial profiling guidelines being announced by the Obama administration would restrict the ability of the FBI and other law enforcement agencies to take into account religion, national origin and other characteristics during investigations. But they would exempt agents from the Department of Homeland Security who do border checks and screen passengers at airports, according to a U.S. official familiar with the plans.
The official said Friday night that the new guidelines banning profiling exempt the Transportation Security Administration and also do not cover inspections at ports of entry and interdictions at border crossings. The official was not authorized to discuss the guidelines by name and spoke on condition of anonymity ahead of a formal announcement expected within the coming days.

The new guidelines apply to federal law enforcement agents but aren't binding on local police officers who are more likely to have day-to-day contact with community members. Their formulation also long predates high-profile cases, such as the police shooting in August in Ferguson, Missouri, that have placed police treatment of minorities in the spotlight. FULL ARTICLE
