   A routine municipal ceremony has become seeped in controversy after a Brooklyn Civil Court judge was sworn in using a Koran.
   Carolyn Walker-Diallo, who was elected last month in Brooklyn’s 7th Municipal District, took her oath of office Thursday using the holy book of Islam as a testament to her Muslim faith.
   The swearing-in session went off without a hitch, but after attendees posted video of the ceremony to social media, the backlash became so severe that some of Walker-Diallo’s supporters became concerned for her safety.
   “Sickening,” one Facebook user posted in response to the video. “Is this America or the Middle East.”
   “Another piece of s— Muslim,” another user wrote, “trying to take over this country.”
Walker-Diallo did not return calls for comment.

Holder was doggedly determined to wear awayas much of the constitution as he possibly he could.

Loretta Lynch looked like she was going to as well.

So here’s what happened which makes it appear Lynch might actually be a softer (and slightly better) than Holder.

Shortly after the terrorist attacks in San Bernardino it was determined the perpetrators in the attack were devout Muslims. Understandably Americans all across the nation were incensed that people who were following an “ISIS playbook” had committed this horrible act on American soil.

Especially considering it was only a few days after the Paris attacks that Obama assured the entire world ISIS was “under control.”

People everywhere sounded off on the dangers of ISIS and radical Islam…and they’re not without warrant as it’s a legitimate concern.

But Lynch made it seem like her Department of Justice wasn’t going to tolerate those kinds of actions and would prosecute anyone who spoke out against Islam.

Speaking to a Muslim Advocates dinner in Arlington, Va., Lynch affirmed that “this is a country that is based upon free speech.” However, she went on to suggest that the Justice Department would “take action” when such speech “edges towards violence, when we see the potential to lift…that mantle of anti-Muslim rhetoric.”

Sure, paint a dismal picture of Grays early life then make him out to be a HERO. That's supposed to excuse him for his behavior. He had high levels of lead in his body which may have altered his thinking...BULL ! I would be more likely to believe that he had poor upbringing, no roll models, wasn't TAUGHT right from wrong, BUT most every one has a conscience

The bill which is certain to die in the Republican controlled Congress looks to revive the Clinton-era AWB.

Introduced by Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.), The Assault Weapons Ban of 2015 would halt the manufacture and sale of whatever he thinks is an assault weapon. All existing “assault weapons” could be sold, but under an expanded background check system. The millions of guns currently in private hand would be grandfathered in, but could never be transferred again.

Policies To Combat “White Privilege” Make For Violent, Frightening Classrooms

 Policies aimed at combating “white privilege” have left teachers scared, parents outraged and classroom behavior that has gone from bad to downright dangerous.
In the St. Paul, Minn., public schools, the new disciplinary policy was developed to combat what liberal administrators thought was an environment that unfairly penalized black students – so they went the other direction.

Now students with severe discipline problems receive little or nothing in the way of punishment, the St. Paul Pioneer Press is reporting. Violent or unruly students are only given short “time outs” to calm down then returned to classrooms.
There has been a dramatic drop in out-of-school suspensions and expulsions, especially among black students who in the past received the lions share of punishments.
The new policies were developed by the Pacific Education Group (PEG) and supported by a new superintendent, Valeria Silva, whose contract was just renewed at $213,000 per year.
PEG is convinced that schools in America are rampant with “white privilege” that negatively affects black students. To remediate this, they encourage lax punishment of disruptive behavior. From EAG News:

 Last year 17-year old black teen Laquan McDonald was high on PCP, vandalizing cars, and running through the streets of Chicago with a knife. White officer Jason Van Dyke shot and killed McDonald when he ignored commands to drop the weapon and came at the policeman. In an effort to placate the angry black hordes, the state’s attorney initially over-charged the officer with 1st degree murder, but now that has been upped to 5 addition charges of murder. Yes, that is correct. This officer now faces 6 separate charges of 1st degree murder for shooting 1 drug addicted and armed attacker.

This is no bullshit. There are apparently at least 6 different kinds of 1st degree murder in Illinois and in the over-charging of the century, prosecutors are using them all on Officer Van Dyke for a single justified killing.

President Obama said he’s gunning to close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, and he’s starting by emptying the cell blocks that have housed suspected terrorists since it opened in 2002. Right now, the administration is on the verge of the largest detainee transfer in a single month since 2007 (via NYT):

Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter has notified Congress in recent days that he has approved 17 proposed transfers of lower-level detainees, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss matters that have not yet been made public. Congress has required Mr. Carter to certify that security standards have been met at least 30 days before any transfers.

President Obama wants to close the Guantánamo prison in Cuba before he leaves office in a little over a year. His administration has stepped up efforts to find countries to take 48 detainees on a transfer list and moved to speed up the work of a parole-like board that might approve the release of others who are currently recommended for indefinite detention.

Moreover, it doesn’t help the Obama administration’s case that a former detainee is now the leader of al-Qaeda in Yemen, along with 20-30 detainees, some of whom were released as little as three years ago, joining the Islamic State.

During the hearing, officials from the State Department and Homeland Security were asked about the location of 9,500 individuals who have been stripped of their U.S. visas because of links to terrorism. They had no idea and could not say if these individuals were still in the U.S.

“…refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement that allowed him to break FAA regulations but lost his job in his refusal. He was to fly [refugees] in from some middle east country into JFK in the middle of the night bypassing security.
A person named only “Please Stay Tuned” alerted me that this:
   “Could be the Pennsylvania Refugee Resettlement Program. Seems to be a very quiet gov funded org.”
   Well, as it turns out, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie revealed last week on Fox that the Obama administration has been bringing in refugees by plane for quite a while.

But will these refugees ever make TV news.
   No way! Middle of the night, landing at rotating small regional airports, they quickly jump on common charter buses. TV cameras will never be there.
   And just look at the numbers. Everyone is getting all excited about Obama saying he would bring in 10,000 refugees from Syria.
   In the first 5 years of the Obama presidency, the U.S. gave out green cards to over 680,000 immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries.
   According to the Center for Immigration Studies, in recent years, 100,000 new Muslim immigrants are brought into the United States each year, and it’s growing at a rate of about 10% per year. So this battle in the press about whether or not to reject the president’s plan to bring in 10,000 more is nothing but a distraction.
   The truth is that in the last 5 years, we have admitted more Muslims into the U.S. already than the entire Muslim population of Belgium – and that entire country is on lockdown from the Friday the 13th terrorist event in adjoining France.

A Louisiana-based photographer is facing backlash after she photographed a family for a holiday picture in a way that critics say is sexist.

The photo, taken by Hannah Hawkes Photography, quickly went viral. It shows a family of five posed together between what appears to be Christmas trees.

The mother and her two daughters are bound by Christmas lights and have their mouths taped shut with neon green duct tape.

Their father kneels behind the girls and their mother with a sign that reads “Peace on earth” as a little boy stands next to him, giving the camera a thumbs up.

Officer Shoots Wreck Survivor, Doesn’t Tell Anyone, Escapes Charges  Posted by Bob Owens on December 15, 2015

Police Officer Patrick Feaster drew his gun and immediately pressed off a shot as a clearly unarmed Andrew Thomas attempted to climb out of his overturned vehicle. Feaster didn’t report the shooting for 11 minutes, but will not face any charges.

Most of the “Oh my God, cops shot a guy they shouldn’t have!” outrage we come across tends to come from the family of a violent criminal lying about the circumstances of a case. In most instances the outrage quickly peters out once the suspect turns out to have been an armed threat whom the officer or officers were justified in shooting… sometimes a lot.
This is not one of those cases.

Dash cam footage from the November 25 incident shows the driver, 26-year-old Andrew Thomas, crashing his SUV. His wife was ejected from the window and died at the scene, reports CBSN’s Vladimir Duthiers.
Feaster walks towards the car and fires one shot, hitting Thomas in the neck as he attempted to get out through the window. Twenty-five seconds, later Feaster describes Thomas as being uncooperative.
