After Making Gun Owners Look Like Idiots By Editing Interview, Karma Smacks Katie Couric Hard
Prissy Holly

If they really had a strong case to gun control, why would they even need to selectively edit anything?
Integrity has never been a strong characteristic for the liberal media, as they’ve been busted numerous times doctoring tapes or creatively editing content in order to push their agenda on a certain topic. But it appears as though their antics are finally beginning to catch up with them, and it’s nothing short of hilarious.
Earlier this year, Katie Couric was busted after maliciously doctoring an interview with Second Amendment activists in her anti-gun documentary, in order to make gun enthusiasts look like complete idiots. But thanks to a bit of karma in the form of massive defamation lawsuit headed her way, it appears as though “America’s sweetheart” is learning the hard lesson about what happens when you twist the truth in order for it to fit your radical leftist agenda.

In Couric’s 2016 documentary film Under the Gun, Second Amendment activists from the gun rights group Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL), were asked several questions related to federal background checks. But through selective editing, it appears as though the VCDL members are completely stumped by Couric’s question avoiding eye contact. The interviewees then go silent for a whopping nine seconds, as the edited-in silence then makes them look like complete morons who know nothing about the Second Amendment. But if you examine the later-released unedited clip, the reality of what really happened was revealed. Not only did the gun rights activists answer Couric’s question immediately, but they fired back with an epic response in the process, making her look like the complete moron, rather than the other way around.

Now in the wake of Couric’s shoddy journalism, she’s paying for her antics in a huge way. The VCDL just smacked Couric with a massive defamation lawsuit, to the tune of a startling $12 million dollars. Their complaint against the Second Amendment-hating journalist alleges the following:

“The Defendants manipulated the footage in service of an agenda: they wanted to establish that there is no basis for opposing universal background checks by fooling viewers into believing that even a panel of pro-Second Amendment advocates could not provide one. The Defendants intentionally disregarded the truth of the actual exchange that had taken place and took at least six intentional steps to manufacture a fictional exchange to support their agenda.”

The suit goes on to allege that Couric’s film crew used lighting tricks to make the members of VCDL appear shadowy and sinister, while going on to depict Couric’s fellow gun control freaks in a much more flattering lighting throughout the documentary.
Nothing like trying to make a case for gun control and then shooting yourself in the foot! (No pun intended!) It’s pretty hilarious that these gun-grabbing idiots have to go to such great lengths to twist the truth. If they really had a strong case to gun control, why would they even need to selectively edit anything?
