Jim Jordan took to Twitter to prove Pelosi’s impeachment was a partisan sham.

Once upon a time, Pelosi claimed the House should only impeach a president when the evidence was “overwhelming” and the support was “bipartisan.”

She said this, of course, in the 90s when her party’s president was being impeached (an impeachment that had bipartisan support.)

Today, she’s ignoring her own advice by pushing an impeachment without a single Republican on board.

Not one Republican voted for impeaching Donald Trump.

On top of that, Jordon points out a few inconvenient facts for the Speaker.

One Democrat voted no to impeachment. Another voted “present” as a form of protest. And a third even switched parties and voted no.

And according to reports, most Democrats voted yes out of fear they’d lose financial support from the DNC for the upcoming election.

Not great, Nance. You promised a bipartisan process. Instead, you proved impeachment was merely a political hit job.

Maybe, just maybe, you should have listened to your younger self. And never bothered with this in the first place.

Police in Australia have arrested and charged two dozen people they say deliberately lit blazes during the wildfire season that has so far killed at least 18 people, destroyed thousands of homes and ravaged over 10 million acres of land.

 

New South Wales police said that since the beginning of November, 24 people have been charged over allegedly deliberately lighting fires as officers continue to investigate the role that arson has played in the devastation. Starting a wildfire can result in a jail sentence of up to 21 years.

The overwhelming majority of Americans will support the president—the Democrats have put their head in a noose while standing over a trap-door. The consequences are predictable. 

The Democrats have stumbled into yet another beartrap in their unanimous objection to President Trump’s order to kill the world’s leading terrorist, Iranian general Qassem Soleimani. The same misdirected solicitude that caused the Washington Post to describe ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, after he was driven to suicide by U.S. special operators, as an “austere cleric” has elevated Soleimani to the status of an Iranian General MacArthur.

The Democratic presidential candidates agree that Soleimani was a nasty man, but all the principal active candidates—Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, and Elizabeth Warren—have embraced the Obama Administration’s nuclear deal with Iran, in which Iran undertook not to develop a full nuclear-tipped long-range missile capability for 10 years. Under this agreement the United States released approximately $150 billion of frozen Iranian assets, which substantially have been squandered in underwriting the terrorist acts and infiltrations supervised by the late Soleimani—especially by the Iranian-sponsored terrorist organizations Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, and the Houthi in Yemen.

Apart from being unverifiable, and giving a tremendous stimulus to Iran’s terrorist and other destabilizing activities around the Middle East, the treaty (also ratified by France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia and China), only dealt with fissile material, not rocket development or the perfection of a warhead. So Iran’s nuclear military research has continued apace, as it escalated its terrorist activities: a terrible and indefensible agreement the Democrats are now robotically defending.

The reimposition of sanctions by the United States has badly squeezed the Iranian economy and its oil exports have fallen substantially. The Iranian economy has partially collapsed and there is immense discontent; months of rioting required very heavy-handed action by the secret police and army to repress. The Democrats who would take Trump’s place have thus very conveniently lined up on the side of the appeasement of Iran, the toleration without reprisal of all Iran’s terrorist outrages, the absolute right to life of the world’s leading terrorist and America’s greatest single enemy.

There could not be a better foreign policy political gift to the president.

A scheme by Michael Bloomberg to punish oil producers by placing hand-picked environmental lawyers in attorney general offices could be breaking apart.

The billionaire former mayor of New York City created a pipeline at New York University’s law school called the State Energy and Environmental Impact Center (SEEIC). It grooms law students to become environmentalist attorney and then pays their salaries once they join state attorney general offices across the nation. Maryland Deputy Attorney General Carolyn Quattrocki said in a 2017 email to colleagues that the purpose of hiring SEEIC-sponsored lawyers was driven by partisanship.

“The gist is that Bloomberg is funding through NYU some fellowship positions for midcareer environmental litigators to be farmed out to State Attorneys General to join the fight against Trump’s rollback of our environmental protection laws and regulations,” she wrote.

While Quattrocki and Frosh disclosed their motivations in private emails to colleagues, other states went public about the partnerships. Some of Bloomberg’s partners, however, are distancing themselves from the program amid inquiries from watchdogs, while others are denying their participation.

Nancy Pelosi and her allies in the House rushed through a sham impeachment case.

With flimsy evidence and little support from the country, they rushed and rammed through for their wildly partisan impeachment.

They said it was urgent, but now Pelosi has refused to send these articles to the Senate, as is required by the Constitution.

The law demands that the articles must be delivered to the Senate so they can hold a trial. The Senate has sole power to vote to acquit or convict the president.

Pelosi is denying them their part of this process—after the House made a mockery out of this process.

She thinks she’s got the upper hand. But it might quickly blow up in her face.

She is, in the words of the articles, guilty of “obstruction of Congress.” And unlike President Trump, Speaker Pelosi has no constitutional basis whatsoever for refusing the request of one of the two houses that make up the legislative branch.

Pelosi dared to accuse Trump of “obstructing Congress” even though he was exercising his Constitutional rights.

It’s clear Nancy is out of line. She is abusing her power and obstructing her own impeachment from moving forward.

She is violating the will of the people and even ignoring her own party’s vote.

Virginia Democrats have taken over the state government. With their new-found majority, they are ramming through strict gun laws.

These laws will strongly curtail the 2nd Amendment rights of Virginia residents. They will learn quickly that elections have consequences.

So, many in the state are declaring their counties’ “sanctuaries” for gun rights. Already the state government is warning them not to.

But even sheriffs are refusing to comply with the liberal gun control laws.

Now, sanctuary leaders are calling on all Virginian residents to act

The clash in Virginia over gun control has reached a new level, with proponents of a gun “sanctuary” movement urging active resistance to Democratic proposals in Richmond, citing the arguments that led to the American Revolution.

“Resistance to illegal and unauthorized government acts is not new,” said two leaders of the movement in noting the decisions by the Founding Fathers to sign the Declaration of Independence that challenged Great Britain and King George III.Two leaders of the sanctuary movement are calling on all residents to resist the Democrats’ new bogus laws.

Much like how the colonists resisted the British crown, these leaders are urging anyone who loves the 2nd Amendment not to comply.

They are encouraging all Virginian residents to embrace the new sanctuary policies. They are telling them not to comply with the forced confiscation of their guns by state officials.

It seems like the majority of Virginia residents are not okay with the new gun laws. You have to wonder how they even let these far-left radicals enter government?

Only now are they seeing how the Democrats are trying to strip away their rights. These new sanctuaries are striking back against laws that aim to destroy residents’ freedoms.

But this might only be the beginning. If these new bills are signed into laws, you better believe they will be taken to the courts.

This might go all the way to the Supreme Court, which will decide just how far states can go in violating our rights.

Let’s hope it does. Democrats need to learn that they can’t abuse their power and violate our freedoms.

The photos, taken by Associated Press photographers, depicted the aftermath of Iran-backed militia members' advance on the diplomatic facility, breaching the fortified "Green Zone" perimeter on Tuesday.

Over the summer, parts of the Green Zone, which houses the embassy, were opened to the public for the first time in 16 years. They were subsequently closed off in October following a week of protests.

The latest demonstrations, which included members of the Iranian-backed Kata'ib Hezbollah (KH) militia, were an apparent retaliation for U.S. airstrikes carried out Dec. 29.
