The Pope, Who Has Armed Bodyguards, Has A Problem With Christians Who Manufacture Weapons
Pope Francis spoke on Sunday and said that people who manufacture weapons create some level of “distrust” if they call themselves Christians.
Yeah, we don’t get it, either.
He spoke at a rally attended by thousands of young people. He was ending the first day of his trip to Turin.
“If you trust only men you have lost,” he said.
Okay, we don’t have a problem with that.
Then, he said this: “It makes me think of… people, managers, businessmen who call themselves Christian and they manufacture weapons. That leads to a bit a distrust, doesn’t it?”
The crowd applauded at that line, but we don’t know why.
The Pope has armed bodyguards. Clearly, he recognizes a use for weapons within the context of Christianity. Why doesn’t he extend that same recognition to the manufacturing of weapons?
Finally, the Pope also criticized people who invest in the weapons industries, saying that “duplicity is the currency of today… they say one thing and do another.”
That makes even less sense.

The pope is a socialist/communist/collectivist. Given the power he would take EVERYTHING from those who can and do and redistribute it to the millions who won't so EVERYONE is equal.....equally broke and equally miserable.
The Catholic church has a very long history of perpetuating poverty and misery in order to perpetuate it's power and wealth. Catholicism LOVES the poor, that is why it does it's utmost to make everyone poor.
