SDSU offers course on removing Trump from office

San Diego State University offered a one-credit course last spring on removing President Trump from office. The criminal justice course, “Trump: Impeachment, Removal, or Conviction?,” will focus on “grounds for impeachment, removal, or indictment,” of Trump, such as “conflict of interests, foreign emoluments, climate change, racism, religious bias, improper influence, nepotism, and a host of crimes, including conspiracy, false statements, and obstruction of justice.”

“Focus will be on the two constitutional grounds,” the course description reads. “Impeachment and removal (25th Amendment), and the possible charges of the independent counsel, the powers of the president,” and “a history of the creation of [the presidency] and the comparison of divine right and rule of law leadership.”

The Migrant Caravan Could Have Brought In Something Far More Sinister Than Criminals

The migrant caravan, which made its way to the US border from Central America this year, highlighted the need to secure America’s border.
Criminals and outlaws tried to use the caravan to cross into the United States illegally.
But the CDC is now looking into whether the caravan may have brought something far more sinister than criminals.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is asking that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) look into the increasing number of sick immigrants illegally crossing into the United States from Mexico.
The CDC is also investigating whether these illegal immigrants may have brought other diseases into the country.

TIMES: Another 15,000 Person ‘Migrant Caravan’ to Leave Honduras January 15th   posted by Hannity Staff - 12.28.18

Another “migrant caravan” is preparing to leave Honduras in the coming weeks; with officials saying the 15,000 person group is ready to depart Central America and head for the United States’ southern border.

According to the Los Angeles Times, “Another migrant caravan — this one estimated at 15,000 people — is preparing to leave Honduras on Jan. 15.”

“Meanwhile, thousands of Central American migrants from a caravan that left Honduras in October remain stranded at the U.S.-Mexico border and languishing in crowded Tijuana shelters while they wait out a lengthy process to file asylum requests with the United States,” adds the Times.

President Trump threatened to completely “close” the southern border Friday; saying Democrats need to fully fund his border wall to re-open the federal government and pass a bipartisan budget agreement.

It may be the last day of 2018, but the press is not going without picking one more fight with President Trump. Trump tweeted out his whereabouts Monday as a way to pressure Democrats to come make a deal with him on immigration. Ten days have passed since the government shutdown and neither side is budging on the border wall. Trump wants $5 billion for border security, including the funds to build the wall, but Democrats won't give a penny more than $1.3 billion, none of which they want going toward the physical barrier he demands. The president said he cancelled his trip to Mar-a-Lago to stay in Washington and find a fix.

Reporters at the White House tried to call the president's bluff Monday. As more than one person noted, there was no Marine standing guard outside the Oval Office, therefore Trump must not be inside.

Glad we got that cleared up. If the media is on to something and the president is MIA, then that means Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) must have also lied about his lunch with Trump yesterday regarding his plans for Syria. They dined at the White House.

China unveils their revolutionary ZKZM-500 laser assault rifle

The ZKZM-500 is a laser gun developed in China during 2018 by the Xian Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shaanxi.

It can reportedly destroy a target 800 meters away by charring skin and human tissue. The frequency of the laser makes it invisible to the human eye and it does not produce noise. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery and can shoot more than 1,000 shots per charge.

It is now ready for mass production and the first units are likely to be gi to anti-terrorism squads in the People’s Armed Police.

There is no specific international regulation for the development or use of this type of laser weapon. The Protocol on Blinding Laser Weapons, signed by more than 100 nations, focuses on previous generations of weapons and prohibits the use of weapons that can cause blindness. It is classified as a non-lethal weapon on a Chinese government website.

After skeptics suggested it would require an enormous battery, the manufacturer of the ZKZM-500 released a video demonstration of the weapon’s effects against cardboard, pork, and a rubber tire.

A New York village offered a toy-replacement program as officials said parents could be risking the lives of their child

Hempstead, NY – A village located in Long Island offered a toy-replacement program where children could bring in toy guns they received as gifts and replace them with other non-weapon toys.
Children were asked to bring in their water pistols, replica firearms and other imitation weapons for sporting goods and educational toys, according to WABC.

"The purpose is to offer safe alternative to toy guns. We don't want the kids playing with guns. Guns are dangerous," said Hempstead Village Trustee LaMont Johnson, according to WABC.

The village had 50 children come to the announcement made earlier in December.

"Saying no to guns is important - even toy guns," said Hempstead Village Mayor Don Ryan, according to WABC.

Sean Acosta of the New York Toy Gun Exchange Program bought the toys. Acosta is a former New York Police Department officer, according to WABC.

“I want to make sure when you grow up nothing happens to you," Acosta told a group of Hempstead schoolchildren earlier this month, according to WABC.

Some of the children at the announcement were given toy guns so they could exchange them for other toys, according to WABC.

Hempstead Village Police Department Lieutenant Derek Warner said parents could be risking the lives of their children by giving them toy guns for Christmas. He said police can mistake toy guns for real guns, especially when it is dark outside of if the child with the toy gun is in a poorly lit area, according to WABC.

"Toy guns can be a dangerous item to give your children," Lt. Warner said, according to WABC.
The Hempstead toy gun exchange program started in 2015, according to the Washington Times. It was started by Manhattan philanthropist Jean Shafiroff to stop children from playing with guns that could look real. Shafiroff said in 2016 she chose Hempstead because she heard about a number of shootings involving children in the area.
