Letters meant for well wishes are now at the center of uproar as many learned students have written letters to convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.
According to FOX and Friends, Marylin Zunig, a teacher at Forest Street School in Orange, New Jersey, had her third graders write letters to Abu-Jamal. The letters were delivered by Johanna Fernandez, a professor of history at Baruch College.
Zunig tweeted moments after sending the letters saying, "Just dropped off these letters to comrade Johanna Fernandez. My 3rd graders wrote to Mumia to lift up his spirits as he is ill. #freemumia"
Fernandez says Mumia appreciated the public school children's letters.
“It had been a long time since we had seen Mumia smile. He chuckled as he read excerpts from these touching letters,” she writes.
Let's see how the family of white Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner  feels about this.
