A New York City police officer and New York state trooper are in custody and expected to be arraigned Wednesday following the sexual assault of a woman in an Atlantic City casino back in April.

Two police officers from New York face sexual assault charges stemming from an April incident inside an Atlantic City casino.
Lawyers for both men said the men are innocent and face extradition at hearings scheduled for Wednesday.
Andrei Torres, a seven-year veteran of the New York Police Department and Devon Thomas, a three-year veteran of the New York state police, were both charged Tuesday with aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault by force without injury

Authorities have not detailed the allegations, but say the alleged assault was at the Trump Taj Mahal on April 24 and targeted a 34-year-old woman.
Thomas' lawyer Joseph Levine said his 35-year-old client did not engage in criminal wrongdoing.
Torres' lawyer John Zarych called the charges against his 32-year-old client "a mistake."
