Terrorist Responsible for 1993 WTC Attack Says He Suffers Mental Cruelty in Federal Supermax May 31, 2015
In 1993, Mahmud Abouhalima helped orchestrate the first World Trade Center bombing that killed six and injured one thousand.
He then fled back to his native Egypt.
Caught and tortured by Egyptian authorities, he was returned to the United States in 1994 to serve a lifetime behind bars for his crime.
Yet, Abouhalima feels that since 9/11, he has been treated unfairly because he was ultimately moved to a supermax unit where many of his previous privileges – including working a job, watching television and reading what he chose – have been eliminated. STORY
