Biden Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is now warning North Korea that US forces are ready to ‘fight tonight’ as tensions with the rogue state continue to ratchet up.The remarks come after North Korea leadership condemned and threatened the US over joint military drills it was participating in with South Korea.

The U.S. and South Korean militaries have resumed springtime drills in South Korea after pausing exercises last February due to coronavirus concerns.
Austin discussed the U.S. military’s commitment to “denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula” and “the importance of maintaining military readiness” during a press conference Wednesday.In North Korea’s first comments directed at the Biden administration, Kim Jong Un’s powerful sister Kim Yo Jong warned the US against further provocations if it wants a “good night’s sleep for the next four years.”

While President Trump was able to significantly calm tensions with the North, even going so far as to meet directly with Kim Jong Un, it seems that Biden may be setting the US up for a potential major clash with the nuclear armed power.
